Problem with Radius re-authentication

Hi all,

we are using Wireless Protection with AP30's and AP10. UTM Version is 9.107-33.
We have two wireless networks using PSK authentication and one network that is using radius authentication (wpa2-enterprise). We have an anoing problem with the radius authenticated network and Dell 1510/20/30 WiFi adapters. The first authentication works always and without error. The trouble starts during the hourly reauthentication on this network. Clients succeed 1 or 2 times but then fail to reauthenticate and the connection is broken (reboot of the client solves the problem).We have tried several driver versions but the problem persists.

I wonder if and where there is a setting to set the reauthentication to let's say 6 hours? Wireless protection seems to use the 'hostapd' daemon and there should be a config file and a setting to change the behavoir. Does anybody know where to change the setting for hostapd daemon?

Regards
Manfred

  • Manfred,

My guess would be a network problem, possibly an issue between the RADIUS server and the AD/LDAP server if they're aren't on the same device.
