AP30 not connecting

We just installed an AP30 and the upstream UTM will not connect to it. I can see that it is getting an appropriate IP from our DHCP server (which is not on the UTM), and I can ping it from the UTM.

Out network uses a default GW which is not on the UTM, but the GW forwards all traffic to the UTM.  This is our first Sophos AP.

UTM is reporting that I do not have a subscription for wireless protection and will not allow me to enable it. The documentation (which I had to search to find) doesn't seem to indicate that I need a subscription. 

Any thoughts on getting UTM to see this thing?

  • You do need a subscription, Alan.  Your reseller can get a 30-day demo license for you to try this out.

  • Thanks. I didn't understand that that when I ordered the AP. I have in inquiry to my reseller but they don't seem to understand that either and it's not clear in the documentation.

    Customer service and support for UTM products leaves a lot to be desired lately...
