Advantage of grouping Access points?

I'm building up wireless capacity in two buildings using a Sophos UTM425 and several AP50's.  Being rather new to wireless networking I don't understand the function of AP grouping and was wondering if anyone could explain the the benefit of putting AP's into groups.

    Hi Steve, 
    by grouping APs you can roll out shared properties (E. g. streamed ssids) within all APs of the group. So If you E. g. deploy a new AP and add it to the group it will have the same properties then the other APs of the group.
