Reflashing AP30 with Engenius Firmware

Hi there,

half a year ago i've bought an AP30 for my Astaro Home Licence. I'll no longer use my astaro in future. It is possible to flash AP30 with Engenius EAP9550 firmware to use it with an normal router ?

user peterkieser said that he flashed some eap9550 to ap30. i tihink its possible, but how??

does anyone know the serial console settings?

Hi saksu,

If you read peter's post closer, it sounds like he tried and bricked it. Engenius only allows firmware updates to their kit via their web interface so needing a tftp firmware hints at problems with the 9550 after reflash.

the source code for EAP9550 can be found on the engeniustech
Website under resources Firmware. It's under GPL.
There is also a uImage binary in the GPL file for
unbricking your EAP9550.
