AP 10 no longer has channel 13 since v8.307

Hi;

I have an AP10, for the last year it has been running on channel 13.

Two nights ago, I got the v8.307 upgrade. 
Tonight I tried connecting to the wireless network, and I couldn't get a connection. (The power light was constantly flashing on and off)
I played around with the setting for a bit, and then tried setting the AP 10 to Channel = Auto. Up came the wireless network, and all was fine.?? Wierd I thought, and then I looked at what channel it was using, and it was set to channel 11. No big deal, but the wifi analyzer on my my android tablet shows I get best coverage on channel 13 or 14. So I tried setting it back to channel 13. There is no channel 13 any more. (Not sure if there use to be channel 14)

What happened to channels 12, 13 & 14..??

    Hey Trevor,

    Channels 12 - 14 are not permitted in North America. Channel 14 is only permitted in Japan and only for 802.11b devices. Most wifi analyzers are global in scope so show 12-14 on their screens, which may explain why those channels were clear if you're in the US or Canada. [:D]

    EDIT: Noticed you're from Australia. Unless you bought a US model, you should have 12 & 13 available to you.

    Hi folks,
    I have an AP 50 ETSI which has channel 13 but my AP30 which is US I think only goes to 11 even though it is set for Australia. The AP 10 I have doesn't have channel 12 or 13 either.

    I did ask about this some time ago and cannot remember the exact answer.

    Neither of my active AP10s has channels 12 or 13. One AP10 was purchased from an Australian distributor and the other courtesy of Astaro.

    I didn't think there were differences in the APs for U.S. and European, etc. markets other than power connections (in fact, I'm pretty sure there are no other differences) ... I am under the impression that channel availability is controlled by what country you have specified when you edit the AP's Country setting in Webadmin... 

    If you check the setting, and it's correct, then maybe there's a new bug in 8.307 that does not recognize / honor the country setting as it is supposed to.

    Might also be a bug in 9.*** as Ian apparently sees the same thing.

    I knew there was a thread on the subject, also a feature request.

    Basically AP10 and AP30's don't do it where as an AP50 does.

    Now just need to figure out how to turn the 5ghz band of the AP50?
