AP50 - 300MBit - how?

Hello,

I've bought an AP50 for my home installation because all specifications say that it's 300 MBit capable. But I can't get 300 MBit to work. I only get 150 MBit max. with a 20 MHz Channel. But for 300 MBit you'll need a 40 MHz channel.
With a cheap AVM FritzBox I can achieve 300 MBit right out of the box.

For me it seems that the AP50 simply doesn't really support 300 MBit and that all specs are wrong. I am very disappointed about this because an AP50 is quite expensive and I feel like taken for a ride.

Am I really right that the AP50s doesn't support 300 MBit?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    He already made his (valid) point: 300MBit/s is not possible because it was decided to disable 40Mhz channels due to stability reasons but which is required to get the advertised 300MBit/s.

    If we get those problems solved, we'll for sure enable 40Mhz channel support again, it's just how it is at the moment.

    If Astaro switches to 40 MHz please offer the option to disable it and go with 20 MHz for those using multiple APs in the same vicinity of clients. An option to switch off 802.11b would also be fine as b-only devices are pretty rare now and I suspect mobile phones switching back to b in powersaving mode when available and thereby slowing down 802.11g a bit.
