AP30 and power supply

Hello,
I bought some AP30 without POE injector. Unfortunately my poe switch will arrive after 16th August. Do you think I can safely use an external 12v power supply for test-purpose? Does anyone knows the polarity of connector?

You can also use a generic POE injector as well ... they aren't too expensive.

Yes, I could buy POE injector, but considering that I have a multi-voltage power supply, I prefer to use it.

Understood --- believe it or not, I've had customers not think that a standard POE injector would work with these, so I thought I'd mention it. We use a generic one here in our lab [:)]
