Wireless AP 50 Performance

Hey Folks,

I'm tossing around the idea of investing in the Wireless AP 50 Access Point, however, before handing over a fair amount, it would be wise to hear some reviews, coverage, benchmarks and overall performance. If anyone on this thread has experience with this device, I'd be very interested to hear how this hardware stacks up with the typical consumer / DD-WRT compatible Access Point. Obviously there is some headroom as the wireless integration offers a huge incentive, however, quality and reliability are also essential.

    Thanks, DaMaN, for making me think about this.  Information is available comparing Cisco, HP and others, but there's nothing for the AP 10/30/50.

    Sophos really needs to commission a study, internally or with a contractor, to provide this kind of information.  I remember when HP thought that their better mousetrap would lead the world to beat a path to its door.

    Marketers need tools and there aren't enough for this wireless solution.

    PS In my experience, the AP 10 doesn't have enough oomph to provide wireless everywhere in a 1937 two-story home with a basement.
