Wifi installation project

Dear Community, 

I have to setup for one of my client a Internet Wifi service covering 3 floors in a building with a "landing" page for their customer.

After a study for the coverage, we agreed that we need around 15 x AP30.

I would propose the ASG220 with the Wireless licence, what is you opinion or experience ? Is Astaro the right solution for this kind of project ?

I know that Astaro recommands only 8 AP connected but apparently if we are using only the "wireless module" the 220 is sufficient. Any advise is welcome !

For sure if the client told me he needs also others security module, I will propose the ASG320

    Hi, jullll, and welcome to the User BB!

    The only other solution I know much about is the HP one, and it's more expensive than doing this with the ASG320.

    This sounds like a good customer to have - good luck with the sale!

    Cool - Congratulations!

    It sure would be nice to get the 320 in there to have the future option to add the other Astaro capabilities.  Have you talked with them about RED (and, in 8.3, larger remote offices can connect using an ASG 120 appliance via a RED tunnel)?  Do they do VoIP?  Do they need a VPN solution?  Do they already have a layer of Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware between their client-PCs and the Internet?  Do they have Web Filtering and reporting?  Look at the Amazon-VPC potential in 8.3.

    My client is already running few SonicWall in his infrastructure. 

    I'm not sure he is ready to change everything so for the moment my goal is to deliver a nice solution around wifi technology.

    By the way, in the project, I will install an open source captive portal in order to wait the new astaro release which should contains a very powerful captive portal.
