Exchange 2016 CU14 OWA strange characters issues

Hello,

I just upgraded the exchange 2016 mail server from CU12 to CU14 and OWA shows strange characters when going trough WAF.

When accessing directly the exchange server with OWA it displays normally :

This was working OK with exchange 2016 CU12 and WAF settings haven't changed.

If I remove the firewall profile, it works OK.

Do you have any idea ?

Just to add a data point: I'm on Exchange 2016 CU14 as well with UTM fw version: 9.605-1. I'm not seeing this problem.

Hello,

I found the issue. It was lying in the firewall webservice exceptions, the "Never change HTML during static URL hardening or form hardening" was not checked :(
