Decrypt & Scan & Citrix

Hi

We have an SG210 running UTM 9.412-2.  I am testing using HTTPS decrypt and scan.  I have deployed the proxy certificate via AD and can successfully use decrypt and scan for general website browsing.

We access a client system via Citrix Receiver web app.  When I turn on decrypt and scan we are no longer able to connect to the Citrix remote desktop, instead we get an error message saying "the connection failed with status 1030".  I'm not a Citrix expert but some Googling tells me this is a generic network error message.

I have created an exception for this website to exclude URL filtering, Content filtering,  SSL scanning, Certificate trust check and certificate date check.  I have also added the website to our "trusted" list.

Any ideas on how decrypt and scan can stop Citrix receiver working, even when exceptions have been made?

Many thanks

  • Hi gr33ny,

To find the corresponding citrix url you must have a look at the web filtering log.

I had a similar problem with citrix receiver and had to find out that citrix used a ip address instead of the original url.

Simply added a exception for the ip and it worked.

    Good luck!
