Transparant HTTPS Filtering on Android

We have transparant HTTPS filtering setup, this works for all devices except Android devices.

I've tried installing the certificate from UTM onto the phone but still get security warnings instead of blocked messages/allowed through when visiting HTTPS sites.

I've tried installed both the PEM certificate and the P12 certificate too but to no avail, still get security warnings on HTTPS sites.

  • Are you sure that the warning is because of a missing certificate? What is the exact wording of the warning?

Could you allow the certificate to continiue the loading of the website?

  • It appears to be an issue with the Chrome browser on the Android.

If I use Chrome to download the PEM certificate, it states "No certificate to install"

I downloaded Firefox on the phone and downloaded it through that and gave me the option for verifying agains websites etc.

So this appears to be a limiation with the Chrome app not liking the certificate, where as Firefox app does like it.
