Quota status

Hello!

We are running an active/passive HA cluster with two Sophos SG230 appliances, both running Sophos UTM version 9.408-4.

When I've checked last time the quota status list in order to reset the quota for one of our users I've notice that there is a problem. The list of users was empty even when there were several colleagues that were accessing properly Internet by choosing how many minutes from their quota they would like to use for that session.

I can't tell when I've check it last time and was OK but I can tell it's the first time when this happens.

In the Default Web Filter Profile the operation mode is set for Standard mode, the default authentication is set to Active Directory SSO, the access is blocked on authentication failure and the device-specific authentication is disabled. Beside the Default Web Filter Profile there is no other active profile.

If I look the policy that is applied (verified with the policy test tool) to the group where the user is member everything looks good.

On the user side everything is working properly. He is asked all the time to activate a new time quota when he tries to start a new browsing session for a zone/area where he has limited access.

When he requests support to reset his quota the support people try do it by accessing the quota status list but it is empty.

Can anybody help us to find out what's the problem ant to solve it?

Best regards,

cicro

  • Cicro, that sounds like there may be a new bug.  I would get Sophos Support involved.
