We have transparent authentication enabled on our UTM with STAS implemented and we have a handful of users who report saying that when they enter a URL in the web browser (at least 3 browsers) it will not open the web page but it will pull up Yahoo search results instead. When the user clicks on any of the links in the search results it will error out saying it could not find the Sophos UTM and ping of the host name would not work either.
These few people have been complaining about this for a while and I have not been able to come up with a logical solution yet. I don't know whether it is an authentication issue, DNS, or the computer configuration. Has anyone seen such behavior? I don't think I have anyone else who has this issue out of more than 200 computers and I don't understand why it happens to only them.
