Disable "Detect HTTP Loopback"?

May I know any risk or any issue if disabling “Detect HTTP loopback” option?

  • If I recall correctly this feature adds the Max-Forwards header and decrements it every time it goes through the proxy.  If the value is 0 then it does not forward.

It is used as protection in situations where you may have Proxy A forwarding to Proxy B who forwards to Proxy A.

If you don't have multiple proxies or if you take responsibility to make sure there are never any loops you can disable it.
