Repetitive interruption times for proxy internet access on our SG430

Hi,

we have a sg 430 and notice repetitive interuption times for proxy internet access. This occures 3-5 times a day.
The browser (ie or firefox) will show a blank page. This will last a few minutes and then an authentication windows pops up although single sign on is activated. But entering credentials will not help and the authentication windows pops up again and again.

At this time I will get ping answers f.e. to 8.8.8.8 so there is a connection to internet.

Shell access to our utm works and "top" will show a very high load average, sometimes  >70

But unfortunately I am not able to determine what is responsible for this.

ATP, IPS is activated but  I am not able to find a suitable log entry for this behaviour.

Testing SSO authentication servers answer a correct "Server test passed".

Any idea to help  me?

Markus

  • Markus, I can't understand how you would have such a high load and so much %wa with all that RAM.  How many people are behind this and what protections do you have active?

In any case, I think you should get Sophos Support involved.
