How to Handle "message="winbindd request failed ()" ?

Whil I didn't changed anything i'm starting to get winbindd error messagesn when I try using tht utm9 as web-proxy ...

any suggestions ?

  • First try a reboot, Stephan. If that doesn't fix this, Unjoin your UTM from your domain by re-joining with incorrect credentials. Then rejoin with correct credentials. Did that work for you?

    a reboot didn't fix the issue - had to unjoin and rejoin + log-off and log on to my computer ...

    I'm wondering what might have beeing the cause ... had this already 2 times in 3 Weeks.
    Do you have some Ideas on what to check for having SSO more reliable ?

  • Don't change the password of the user account that you used when joining UTM to the Active Directory.

    p.s BOB, that was my suggestion for contribution to Rulz several months ago (same experience from a client of mine), now it is burried somewhere deep in the old astaro.org forum (couldn't find it by searching).
  • ... "unfrotunately" I didn't change anything - no password change - nothing - I also have two AD- Domain Controler avaliable for use by the UTM9.
