URl Word Flitering

Having issues with students and google sites. We have some teachers using the sites for classes with students, but we also have a lot of traffic for unneeded sites that students are creating outside of classwork. Is there a way to key off a word within the url? For example I would like to be able to block any site that has the word unblock at the end (sites.google.com/site/unblockmysite) while still allowing sites.google.com. I have been trying manually add to the re-categorization list, but it is a never ending battle.

You may be able to do this with the blocklist via Regex. See https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/117316.aspx

I created a Regular Expression that seems to work. Filter Action -- Websites -- Block These Websites. I added the Regular Expression of
([A-Za-z0-9.-]*)unblock([A-Za-z0-9.-]*)
It seems to work as long as that word is any where in the url.

That RegEx will work, but it is actually doing more than it needs to. RegEx naturally adds wildcards to the front and back. Also putting . inside the [ ] automatically means any character, making the rest of the things in [ ] duplicates.
For this specific purpose (the word unblock anywhere in the hostname, path, or parameters) you can just do:
unblock

Michael's right about just needing unblock, but are you sure about the "."n []? I know it's true elsewhere in regular expressions, but I think the only character that must be escaped in [] is "-" (the reserved character in []) unless it's the last one. I'm happy to be corrected if that isn't right.
