401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials (with proxy)

When we browse with proxy enabled to
http://extern.independer.nl

we receive a 401 error immediately
401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.

When we turn proxy off and browse to this website (a login (username/password window) appears


How to solve this, that the login window appears with proxy enabled aswell?
(I cleared cache etc. on the pc and astaro allready)

    with firefox it does work, but not IE (i've tested multiple pc's with different IE versions)

    IE only works with proxy turned off

    I can reproduce the error with opera but not with IE or chrome. You get a login prompt on those browsers. The log is the same no matter which browser you are using so its not the proxy but the browser problem.
