I need help with Webfiltering for AD-Users

Hello!
I have an existing network with a SG125 without any web filtering rules and every computer in the network is in an ActiveDirectory domain to authenticate. Now I want to do web filtering to completely block internet access for a certain user and have the internet usable normally for 2 other users.
How do I approach this issue?

Thanks a lot!

  • Hello Julian,

you can use AD SSO for that purpose. You define a group in AD and the mebers of this group are allowed to use the proxy/webfilter.

  • As Philipp says, this is possible.  In a Web Filtering Policy, if you leave 'Users/Groups' empty, the Policy applies to everyone.  You just need to add a Web Filtering Profile with a Policy containing the one user and using the 'Default Content Filter Block Action'.  Web Filtering Profiles are considered before the Default Profile.
