Sophos SSL Client installed / Deploy Sophos Connect

We have the Sophos SSL Clinet installed ony many computers and want now to migrate to Sophos Connect.

An auomatic deploy is not possible as SSL needs to be uninstalled first which causes our pain to rech all mobile users.

Is there any workaround?

  • If you are on a domain, you could use Group Policy to uninstall, and install the new client.  If the users are remote, you'd most likely just want them to bring in the laptop or do a remote session with them to uninstall and install the new client.

  • This is what I wanted to avoid, but it seems to be the only possible way

  • If your users have install capability, you can just force the uninstall using GP, and they can log into the User Portal on UTM to grab the new client.  I don't know how much you trust your users to not mess it up, but it's fairly straight forward.
