ACC registration after upgrade to UTM9

[I'm not sure whether this belongs in the ACC forum or the UTM one. Please move the thread if necessary.]

I upgraded my (software) ASGs to UTM9 via the "normal" method (backup, install, restore backup). After that, all devices showed up twice in the ACC, one online and one disconnected. This might be more of a cosmetic nature, I just deleted the offline ones.
BUT: all "new" devices were in the "global" OU, not where they were supposed to be. As a result, they didn't get their firewall rules deployed and nothing worked until I realized what was wrong.

Is that normal behaviour? Shouldn't the key or checksum or whatever is used to identify connecting devices be part of the backup?

    Hi Chris,

    please read this.

    For V4 (see beta) we have implemented a Join feature that does the
    things I described in the thread mentioned above. With V3 it can only be done
    manually. But since you have deleted the offline devices the workaround is
    not possible unless you have a backup of the ACC.

    If you have an ACC backup just restore it and do the mentioned workaround.
    Otherwise you need to configure again the OU assignment.
