I don't know about official requirements... but I've installed it using the same settings I used for ASG Version 8 installations...
This is on ESXi 4.1 / 5.0:
OS Type: SLES 64 Bit 11.x
Ethernet Adapter(s): E1000
HD: You can choose different sizes, I went with 120GB -- standard LSI Logic Adapter
CPU: 1 Dual Core Processor
RAM: 2GB
Seems to work just fine that way.
