Bandwith consumption

Hi,

i m running a ACC Server with over 100 devices connected over WAN. Since the Astaro sends a lot of log information to the new ACC it uses a lot of bandwith! As i dont really use this feature (aggregated logs...) - is there a option to disable sending log information from a asg to the acc server to save bandwith?!

    Hi, 

    at the moment, there is no possibility to directly deactivate this feature. What you could do is to change the update intervals for the Device-based and Aggregated Reporting features, thereby roughly achieving the same result. There is also the possibility to define the number of historical days which should be retrieved from the devices, which is set to 180 days per default. All these settings need to be adjusted manually via command line interface and require the ACC backend to be restarted.

    But first of all, we would be interested in two things:


    • What is the total and in/out traffic for tcp port 4433 on your ACC for the last 7 and 30 days (please have a look in Reporting >> Network Usage >> Accounting)?
    • Can you give us some hardware spec and available bandwidth information on your ACC's uplink?

    We took great pains to minimize impact due to the reporting features. It is normal, that an initial synchronization of the remote gateways' reporting data might take some time and cause additional traffic. After the synchronization process, only current daily data will be updated every 3-4 hours. Hence, it might be possible that some of your devices might resynchronize all the time because of some unknown error.
