port 443 is generally reserved for the end-user portal in the Astaro product line. The Gateway Manager shares a certificate with the WebAdmin, hence if you recreate the WebAdmin certificate you also get the same/new certificate for the Gateway Manager.
So we are not able to use our own valid SSL certificate? (This is a MUST feature!)
If using the Gateway Manager, there is no End-User Portal, so why i'm not able to use port 443?
this functionality you speak of is currently not available for the WebAdmin and hence it is also not available for the Gateway Manager. It is the same behavior on all our products. You can regenerate the SSL certificate, but you cannot use your own SSL certificate by importing it. Therefore, this is not a limitation of the ACC product itself. If you deem this a must feature, please put in a feature request via the regular channels.
Regarding the usage of port 443, it is also related to all products, regardless whether there is a Gateway Manager or not. We will investigate this issue and come back to you during the next days. Thanks for your inquiry and pointing this out.
there is a small glitch in the port handling on the ACC V1.9. Though there is no end-user portal accessible in ACC, but still the default config is to use port 443 for this component, neither WebAdmin nor the Gateway Manager can be reconfigured to use this port instead.
We will address this issue in one of our future Up2Dates.
