ACC Under Xen?

Anyone have any luck running ACC under Xen? We're trying to consolidate some servers and ACC is a great target.

After installing, I'm having problems getting the virtual machine to boot.

    AFAIK we did some testing with XEN and ASG two years ago but nothing ever happened since.

    Were you able to get it to work? I've tried various things using Xen in Fedora 7 but no luck. I haven't tried Xen in Fedora 8 or RHEL/CentOS 5 or 5.1 yet.

    Hi,

    cause I wanted to have a small linux on the bottom and XEN running, I decided to use XEN Server Express from the citrix site (the owner).

    Installed it within about 10 minutes. Then I installed  (using the XenCenter Software) the ACC 1.401 as a VM, using 30 GB disk, about 750 MB RAM and 1 CPU. The installation took a bit longer than on a real machine. But since it's running, I can't feel any difference.
    It really works fine.

    Within XenCenter there seems to be no option to decide whether to create a full-virt or a para-virt VM. So I'm sure XenCenter took full for my ACC installation, because there is noch xen-kernel available.

    And also every version of XEN (freeXEN or XEN) need AMD Pacifica or Intel what so ever to create FULL virtualized machines.

    My PC spex:
    Athlon X2 4600+
    2 GB RAM
    500 GB SATA II (24/7) hdd
    6600 GT

    Hope that's usefull for somebody.

    Next step for me will be to let ACC and ASG run in VMs.

    also ASG 7.1 and ACC 1.401 are running on on XENServer without any problem.

    Thanks for the updates, guys, it must be related to Xen in F7. I'll be firing up CentOS 5.1 on a test machine soon, we'll see how it works there.

    Did you dedicate a NIC to the ASG VM by any chance? What OS was the hypervisor running on?
