Route specific address through UTM

Hi,

I've currently configured a RED in Standard/Split mode, and wish to route a specific address through the main customer site (for security reasons, the main site is the only address able to access a customer portal).

I've added the remote site to the split networks, but this has resulted in me being unable to communicate with the remote site at all (when behind the RED).

Doing a traceroute, the first hop is the RED, and the second times out, but I can see a dropped NETBIOS request in the live log.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Nicholas Barry

  • Hi, Nicholas, and welcome to the UTM Community!

If the users behind the RED are supposed to go through the UTM to reach one, specific public IP out on the Internet, then just add a Host definition for that public IP to 'Split Networks' in the RED, add a firewall rule to allow the traffic and a Masquerading rule. Is that what you hoped to accomplish?
