Extend local subnet with RED 10

Hi,

I have a RED 10 that I want to use to extend an existing local subnet. Is this possible?

    At the moment, I haven't added the RED to the UTM yet, since I'm not use what settings I have to use.

    So have a remote managable subnet behind the RED, I'll have to go with Standard/Split. But what settings are needed ip address, etc, when I go with upload mode "Static address"?

    Can I enter there an ip which is in the existing local subnet, i.e. 172.16.20.254?
