Offline provisioning

Hello Experts, I have a doubt. 

I am trying to install a RED 50 rev1. The first thing that I did, was go at the Red Management > Globall Settings and turn it on.

After that I take the configs of the network and at the [Server] Client Management > Add RED and inserted all the information (static address).
At advanced: Manually via USB Stick. 

I added the file at an USB stick (5.0 gb formated with FAT32) and booted the RED with the wan cable and the USB inserted at the port. 

The RED starts, seems to read the pen drive, but at the ASG nothing happens: 

At the RED Connection status I have "1 remote sites configured, 0 are currently online." Nothing happens... 

The ID is ok... the network configs are ok. 

What am I doing wrong?

    Hi HicSunt,
    sorry, I had to edit my post; the issue you are facing is by design.  The offline provisioning feature was a big design change which does not work with the out of the box firmware of the old RED50s.Unfortunately you need to connect it to the online provisioning server to get the most recent firmware.

    We are facing a similar issue with an RED-10 and an UTM 9.108-23. But the RED already was online provisioned and it has gotten a new firmware. Now, when we try to change the provisioning to offline (deleting the RED, re-creating it, downloading the file onto an USB stick and booting the RED) it is not able to contact our UTM. It has an internet connection with static IP, without DHCP.

    Changing the online provisioning from DHCP to static IP and vice versa works fine.

    Any hints?

    We are facing a similar issue with an RED-10 and an UTM 9.108-23. 


    We have just installed update 9.109-1 - now the offline provisioning for a RED-10 works :-)
