what to do with old RED

Is there a way to flash RED rev1 to something like dd-wrt or similiar.
I will have free RED device - branch office closed.

Or only option is just use it as coffe table ? [H]

    Keep it as a spare?  I don't think you're going to find an easy way to change the firmware on that box.
