We have a couple RED10's happily deployed at a couple remote sites (one with a T6 wireless broadband and one with a cable modem) and are considering a 3rd for a unique application.
Unfortunately, this location offers few options for Internet connectivity. We're considering using a 4G USB Cell Modem (Verizon) to interconnect the RED10. We have adequate 4G signal levels - and this application has very low bandwidth requirements.
We use these 4G USB Cell Modems for many of our laptop users - with satisfactory results. However, in these applications, there is a setup process that occurs (as with most USB devices) when the PC's OS detects the new hardware and tries to bind/load the appropriate driver.
As the RED10's are essentially "blind" devices with no GUI or command line interfaces - we're curious if the RED10 will support these types of USB devices for WAN connections...
