I will try to make this as simple as possible...
We have an MPLS system carrying voice and data back to our main site (where our ASG is). The remote site has an Active Directory server providing DNS (obviously) and DHCP to the LAN. Separate from the MPLS router is another internet connection from another provider. I'd like to leave the phone traffic on the MPLS but move all the internet traffic onto a RED and tunnel it back to the ASG. In doing this I'd like to preserve the DHCP and DNS on the AD Server.
At first I thought that I'd simply assign the RED the default gateway address on the LAN (the one currently held by the MPLS router -172.16.2.254/24) and not set any DHCP for the network no the ASG. But I imagine some possible conflicts with the this setup.
I'm a bit in the dark so any help on setup would really be appreciated. I set up a RED at another one of our sites (one without its own DHCP and DNS) and it works great. It's a pretty ingenious little device.
