Multiple Subnets over RED

Quick question about RED10 config.

I have a branch office (192.168.16.x) that needs to access resources at head office that are spread over two subnets (10.1.0.x && 10.2.0.x). The current soho vpn router already has that capability as it shows two active IPSEC SA's, one for each subnet @ HQ.

My question is, can RED do the same in split mode?

I know it can in regular mode however given that we need the internet to remain up even if the VPN is down, we need to use split mode.

  • Drew, If I understand correctly, the answer is yes.  Just put (guessing) "Internal (Network)" and "DMZ (Network)" in 'Split networks'.  If you have an internal web server they need t reach via the RED, then probably you'll want to select "Transparent/Split mode.
