Slow network ASG-RED after upgrade to 8.300

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I have to update my RED configuration after upgrading to 8.300.

After upgrade the RED connects to the ASG and DNS and DHCP is forwarded. But it is not possible to download files from our fileservers.

I have restored back to 8.203 and now things work again.

  • This could be an issue we have seen with some Intel network chipsets. The driver was upgraded in 8.300. This should only affect you if you use bridging.

A possible workaround is to turn off "generic-receive-offload" on the NICs with ethtool on the command line.

Tom, could this be the origin of some of the issues we've seen reported in the UBB regarding bridged systems working very slowly after the 8.300 up2date?  Does this affect any of the ASG425a appliances (older or newer) -- I have an instance where this could be an issue.
