Have installed a new RED 10.
Foolishly followed the quick setup - then found https://support.astaro.com/support/index.php/Same_network_on_RED_and_LAN
This sounds more like what we need to do...as our goal is to extend one of our existing internal VLANs (10.100.192.***) to a remote device at another facility off campus.
Knew we were heading for trouble - as it asked us to create an IP address for the RED that ended in ***.***.***.001 - which for the VLAN we want to use is actually the core switch/router's IP address (10.100.192.1).
The remote node will have a static IP address on the VLAN - so we don't really need DHCP on the RED segment.
So I'm guessing the quick start probably created a bunch of objects we don't need or may need to change?
What objects get auto-magically created with the "quick setup"?
Or should we (assuming it's safe to do so) restore the ASG back to a point before we added the RED 10?
