How to rename branch name

I want to rename the branch name of the red device, but I am unable to find where.

I was only able to change the name in network, interface. 
On RED management I will still see the old branch name.

Any ideas?

    IMO its not possible atm. Only deleting and re-add the red with unlock-code is possible to get the new branch-name.

    Should start feature request.

    there is a way but you might loose support if you use it since it is done using the CLI: 

    cc

    red

    servers@


    This lists all REF-IDs of the Objects. Note down the ID of the RED to rename 

    OBJS

    

    name = ''

    w

    quit


    This information was supplied to me a while ago by the Sophos support. 
    Last tested with v9.315 (works still)

    Another trick: instead of noting the REF_, highlight it.  Then, instead of typing it in, just right-click.  Of course, that assumes that you're using PuTTy or something like it.

    Long ago support told me the same: REDs are not renamable.

    Here is a command line version:
    # cc change_object REF_ItfRedWhatever name 'new name'


    Queries for at least some RED objects (I have no RED devices to check):

    # cc get_objects itfhw red_server

    # cc get_objects itfhw red_client
