Move RED device from one ASG to another

Good morning,
I need to tranfer a RED device (transparent/split mode) from our production ASG to our test ASG, maintaining the remote configuration.
The remote network address of the RED is fixed and there isn't any remote DHCP server (I configured the RED before to send it to the site).
My idea is to directly configure the RED device onthe test ASG, using the "unlock code" provided in the first configuration, but I'd like to understand if this is the right process. (Obviously I can't easily reach the remote site...)

UPDATE: sorry but I forgot to update the discussion; I make the change without any problem, just recreating the RED configuration on the test ASG (I had 12 minutes of comm loss...).
