Astaro Red and QoS

Hi,
we plan to buy a astaro red for our branch office.
We want to use telefon with voip. 
Can I use the Red device with bandwith controll for the voip traffic?
At the moment we use a fritzbox with a site-to-site vpn connection. But with this configuration I cannot use QoS, or?

    I did some extended QoS Tests with RED a while ago on a V7. My findings then was:

    RED QoS Interface Settings
    - Limit Uplink works well, but in view of traffic you have to think reverse. If your RED is connected to a cablemodem with 10MBit downstream and 1 MB upstream, from view of ASG  (RED Interface) you have to enter the values reverse. This means QoS Interface Uplink Speed is 10MBit (10MBit downstream of cablemodem) and 1MBit downlink Speed (1 MBit uplink of cablemodem)
    - Activating automatic QoS Settings as uplink optimizer and download equalizer works, but have to be disabled, if you want to use manual bandwidth pools, because the automatic settings interferes with the manual settings.
    - If QoS is activated on ASG WAN Interface, the automatic settings also re priorize your overall RED traffic. Upload optimizer and download eqalizer settings are cool, but if you require stable or manual set bandwidth pools for RED connections, disabling the automatic helpers and use of manual defined bandwidth settings may work better.

    I tested this a few month ago, so there may be some different behaviour with actual ASG Versions, so your experience may be interesting for other users ;o)

    Thanks for the replies.

    I followed BAlfson's advise (more or less) by disabling all checkmarks (Limit uplink, Download Equalizer and Upload Optimizer) but kept the speed-settings for Downlink and Uplink. I'm not sure what the functionallity now left is; just for the bandwidth graphs I suppose.

    Under the tab 'Bandwidth Pools' I created I pool for the RED-interface and gave it 1024 kbit/s and check VoIP under 'Traffic selectors'. Did not set the checkmark for upper-limit.

    The cpu-utilization is normal but I do not know if it is doing what I want; have not heard any complaints about telephony yet.
