User count vs. VPN

I have a customer right on the edge of a 100-user license.  We're considering recommending RED.  Can someone who's using RED confirm that all of the IPs behind RED are counted for licensing?

It seems to me that this is not the case for Remote Access, and that this might be a situation where we should leave the small offices on Remote Access instead.

Cheers - Bob

  • Thanks, Christian, that's exactly what I thought, but I wanted to confirm my "guess" with experience.  IPs from VPNs aren't counted, so it will be less expensive for this customer to use an ASG110 with Network Security than to upgrade their full-guard 100-IP license to 250 users.
