Web Authentication Does Not Work

I'm running Sophos in transparent mode and trying to utilize Web Authentication for unknown users. Whenever "use web authentication for unknown users" is checked, the internet is simply inaccessible to the client and there is never a prompt to authenticate. Unsure what I'm doing wrong.

  • Looks like a problem with redirection to logon-portal ...

    - Client gets an IP?

    - do you use IP or NAME for logon portal redirection?

    - with name ... Firewall is DNS - Server for the client?

  • Client does have an IP. Same subnet as the firewall.

I'm not sure if I'm using IP or NAME for logon portal redirection. How can I tell?

I have tried setting the firewall as the client's DNS server but it still doesn't work.
