Failing when trying to allow Let's Encrypt certs on Sophos UTM 9.708-6

Under Webserver Protection -> Certificate Management -> Advanced
I'm trying to enable LE certs, but i keep getting the message:
"The previous attempt to enable Let’s Encrypt failed: Failed to retrieve the current Terms of Service link. Please try again or check the Internet connection if the problem persists."

When i check the logs i see the following:

2021:12:21-09:15:13 sophos letsencrypt[8185]: I Create account: creating new Let's Encrypt acccount
2021:12:21-09:15:14 sophos letsencrypt[8185]: E Create account: Incorrect response code from ACME server: 500

Any tips on how i can troubleshoot and/or resolve this issue?

The UTM is brand new (running version 9.708-6) and created by importing a v8 backup (yes i know that's EOL years ago).
My apologies if this is in the wrong forum section.
