utm 9 port fowarding

I need to reach  external servers on a TCP port 5200. Software on a pc inside my network tries to communicate with these servers. My utm home 9.6 firewall keeps blocking the requests. I have tried various dnat, snat, fullnat and Masquerades to no avail. I am a newbie and only worked with home routers before. The firewall also needs to have any  incoming requests on UDP  ports 5198 and 5199 directed to this pc. Any help would be much appreciated.

I also have another program that needs to contact VE7cc.net on port 23

  • Hi Leonard and welcome to the UTM Community!

What do you learn from doing #1 in Rulz?

Note that inbound responses to requests are allowed automatically by the connection tracker - see #2 in Rulz.

  • I was not understanding what the log was trying to tell me. I thought I needed to make a NAT rule but actually needed a firewall rule. I just realized what I was doing wrong and now all works proper.

    Thanks,
