Using Free UTM Essential firewall software with web protection licence

In a virtual deployment option, can i download the UTM free essential Firewall software, installed it on a vm, then purchase only the licence for web protection, since am not purchasing an hardware appliance? 

N.B: This deployment is going to be used for business purpose.

    Yes, Ololade, you can do that.  Check the pricing for the licensing.  After the initial installation, you will have a full trial license for everything for 30 days.  After a week or so, check the 'Active IP Addresses' tab in 'Licensing'.   If the count is over 25, an SG 115 with licensing may be less for your client than a software license for 50 IPs.
