Advanced Threat Protection Question

So I have recently setup sandstorm so I can have an additional layer of email security. Under advanced threat protection I noticed the network my email server is on was listed under Network/Host Exceptions with a policy to drop. Does this mean sandstorm is not doing anything since having that listed causes it to skip that network from being scanned for threats?

  • These are two, separate functions, Benjamin.  If, in Email Protection', you have selected 'Enable Sandstorm' on the 'Malware' tab and you have not configured an Exception for 'Sandstorm Scanning', then suspicious attachments will be scanned if they are unknown.
