Web Usage Report

Hi All

I been using the UTM for a few months now and i have the below options enabled;

1) Web Protection, Web Filtering, and decrypt & scan for some categorized items.

2) Logging & Reporting, Reporting Settings, Web Reporting Detail Level, 3 levels of URL.

I'm trying to produce some accurate web usage reports with a breakdown of exact pages visited, for example if a user visits

http://www.bbc.co.uk and then clicks on sport i would like to see the url listed http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport if they click on other links on that page, i would expect to see that too http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05vb6sg

i have tried the inbuilt web report but this is not accurate at times. I would be grateful to know if this is something that I'm asking can be done even if it includes having to acquire a 3rd party product to obtain the data.

I look forward to your responses

  • Hey Malcolm.

    You might wanna take a look at iView.

    Regards,

    Giovani

  • Hi Giovani

    Thanks for you advise I will be sure to have a look. however i have found out what the issue is. under HTTPS i have selected a few categories i want to monitor. i then downloaded the Sophos cert and installed this on Windows machines. I am now able to produce full reports which include the exact url users haven been on.

    my next challenge is getting this to work correctly on apple devices. since enabling HTTPs scanning some websites dont display well.
