DNS configuration with UTM in DMZ

I have my UTM behind an ATT Pace router for their fiber offering.  It's required...

The UTM is currently connected the Pace in DMZ Plus mode, which gives it an external WAN IP, not an internal one from the Pace.  I have setup my DNS following the DNS Best Practices recommendation, however, I'm wondering if I have missed something as as on the Forwards tab it is still showing the Currently Assigned Forwarders as the Pace gateway, not Google DNS.

The last time I had my DNS configured this way, albeit OpenDNS, I seem to recall it showing the OpenDNS nameservers there. With the UTM getting a WAN IP, it's just confusing that it would still show the Pace Gateway as the current forwarder.  Use DNS forwarders from ISP is unchecked.

Thanks.

  • Robert, those are the currently assigned forwarders by your ISP.  This is only informational and has no effect on your UTM's configuration since you're not using the ISP's forwarders.
