I haven't found a way through the UI and as an AWS hourly instance, don't have CLI access. Any suggestions as to what I could try?

To upload a certificate with it's private key to the UTM, you have to upload it as a PKCS#12 type.

What is the current format of your certificate?

That was exactly it. I bundled the key and the crt file into PKCS#12, uploaded it and the certificate became available for selection in the WAF. Many thanks for your quick response to my noob question.
