Should All The Interfaces Have The Same MTU?

I have 3 Interfaces:

External: DSL (PPPoE) MTU 1492
Internal: Ethernet MTU 1500
Guests: Ethernet MTU 1500

From time to time I have timeouts issues to access some websites, access Guests clients from Internal clients.

Should I set External, Internal and Guests MTU to 1492? and How to tell what MTU is used by my ISP?
