I'm trying to set up a trunk on my system connected to a LevelOne GES-2450 switch. When I set up link aggregation (tried with Intel 82571EB and 82574L nic) and set the switch trunk to LACP, the system stops responding after short periode. It doesn't matter if the switch is set to LACP (all active/passive combinations tested) or static, the system does not respond.
While it still responds (i.e. first 30 seconds after setting link aggregation) neither DNS lookup or web surfing works on client machines. It also does not distribute IPs with DHCP anymore.
The aggregated link is used for several tagged VLANs. When the aggregated link only uses one nic (with no benefit, of course), the system works as expected.
