Sophos UTM 9 Notifications using TLS and amazon SES email service

Under Manangement-> Notifications -> Advanced  ,  we have defined our  SMTP Server , TLS and authentication settings.

The SMTP server is an Amazon  SES endpoint.

On other email clients we need to import/ use the AWS Endpoint certificate for TLS . Where would you add this cert  on the Sophos UTM 9 . I can not find details  in any documentation.

Thanks in Advance

  • I haven't used SES, but I would be surprised if you needed to substiute Amazon's TLS certificate for the default one in your UTM.  What error are you seeing?

  • No error , just that when I logged into the Webadmin I should have got an email I didn't.  Not obvious where the log file entries  would be for this, they were not  in the most logical place

  • The default is to only send a notification when there's a failed login attempt.

At the command line, the file is /var/log/notifier.log.  In WebAdmin, it's the ' Admin notifications' log.
